 Learn the basics of living in the country in a family oriented atmosphere. Have fun doing hands on soap making, candle making, and knife sharpening, learn wild edibles and medicinal herbs as well as how to treat your family with hydro therapy and other natural remedies, experience first hand the many joys of living on a farm, each morning and evening there are animals to care for, and other enjoyable chores to be done. There are demo’s with oil presses, grain grinders, spinning, weaving & much more. You are sure to have a blast and learn invaluable skills at the same time!

For more information please call us at 208-628-4196 or email us. Workshops start on Sundays at noon & go thru Thursday evening, you are welcome to stay thursday night. Each day is power packed and enjoyable. Pricing: $350 for sunday thru thursday. ($260 with the spring special.) Price includes: Hardy breakfast, home cooked lunch and continental style supper. Camping: Primitive tent camping on a flat field is free, there is plenty of drinking water a very short (walkable) distance from camping area. There are also free showers and a heated indoor area where you are welcome to visit and eat your suppers if you so choose. RV's & Campers: We have a steep rough drive way, campers on trucks will do fine, as of yet we not have RV hookups. RVs are not recommended. What to Bring: Farm clothes, you won't want to mess up your nice ones. Warm sleeping bags or several blankets as it can be chilly at night. Clothes for hot afternoons and chilly mornings and evenings. There is no cell phone service available, and no internet. We have sheepdogs that do not tolerate other dogs, so please do not bring pets. Children are welcome, but plan to keep them with you at all times, most kids love our place and don't want to leave :) |
